CCS Definition of Proficiency-based learning.
Personal mastery begins with transparent academic and non-academic meaningful learning targets. A student progresses at their own pace and is aware of where they are. Students demonstrate proficiency in authentic ways. Teachers act as guides and mentors supporting students to take ownership of their learning and do their personal best.
